This golden green piece was fabulously frosted and smoothed into perfect pendulum by the battering waves of the Bering Sea. It has been drilled and adorned with a fine silver bail patterned with Celtic knots. A sterling silver flower was strung through the sea glass and bail to allow gentle movement. The pendant is approximately 1 inch long and hangs from a 19 inch leather cord. The Celtic Knot is considered to signify the three forces of nature: water, fire and earth. The Bering sea glass is part of a small collection that I was fortunate to acquire from a friend and fellow artist whose beloved brother was a gold miner in Gnome, Alaska. As he dredged up the Bering Sea seeking gold, sea glass was also foung in a multitude of rare colors and shapes: proof that the sea is full of many treasures.
